Resume Writer, Resume Software, or 'Fill-in-the Blank' Template?

3 Resume Options - Which Will Work Best For You?

True, one option may be more cost-effective - a primary concern for most of us today.
One may be easier, simpler, and quicker - just fill in the blanks, and walla!  you have a resume.
But ... which of these three will most likely produce the very best resume?  Anything one does in life, whether it is baking a cake, raising children, or starting a business, results are greatly enhanced when there is personal involvement.  For a resume, you want the very BEST document you can produce.

 Resume Keywords:
Why So Important?

Our Resume Packages

First Impressions Are Key

Keep in mind that your resume is your most important marketing tool ever.  Why?  It is hard enough to get noticed in the job field today even when you have highly-valued and marketable skills.

But no matter how valuable you and your skillsets might be, or how much you would

enhance the company if they hired you, if your resume doesn't quickly impart your value within 15 to 20 seconds, you, your experience and acquired skills could very well go completely unnoticed.

Your resume is your very best advertisement.  And first impressions are KEY.  Statistics show that within seconds, a hirer will decide which pile your resume will grace - the "second consideration" pile, or the "not too interested" pile.

Through my years in writing resume, I have made, I think, a significant observation. That is that most folks experience some degree of difficulty in seeing themselves as a Hiring Agent would.  Often it's just a case of "not being able to see the forest for the trees."

If you are going to compose your own resume, this is what I advise.  Try to see yourself through your mother's eyes.  Yes, your loving, bragging, doting mother - who sees only the very best you offer.

Think about your best features and brag on them.  Shamelessly if you must.  Certainly you should never lie, deceive or embellish on your resume!  Merely be honest - and build your assets up, as your mother would.  And be sure to list everything.

Wordmapping or MindMapping works great for gathering ideas for your resume.  Watch the YouTube Video below.

An "effective" resume takes much fore-thought and planning.  There is the choice of  which format to use - chronological, functional, or combination.  Choosing the best descriptions and key phrases.  Then there is the editing phase, and the re-editing, tweaking and enhancing until all looks and sounds just perfect.

How A Professional Resume Writer Can Help

I have listed below several important reasons for letting a professional resume writer assist you.

People often don't see themselves the way a Hiring Agent does.  You've heard the expression, "It's hard to see the forest for the trees."  In the case of putting together a resume, that fact could not be more true.

A Professional Resume Writer writes as a third party, outside the "forest" as it were, and is trained to spot what makes you unique.

They can identify and maximize your qualifications, experience and education.  If you have only 15 seconds to impress, why not use them to the full?

For instance:

How to write your all-important Heading ,and what to write there so as to instantly captivate and WOW the Hiring Agent.

How to focus on an impressive Work History or

downplay one that is spotty.

How to amplify the Qualifications you have acquired throughout your career, your skills and background, using action verbs and descriptive adjectives.

How to highlight your Experience so that you will stand out from other applicants.

Which text is most effective in paragraph form or works best as a bulleted list.
